Returns – if you change your mind

We want you to be happy with your purchase. If, for any reason, you change your mind about your purchase, then provided you abide by the conditions set out below, we will give you a full refund of the purchase price.

The conditions are as follows:-

  1. You must send us the entire product back, apart from the original packaging if it is not possible to re-use it. We will not refund only part of a purchase. It is all or nothing.
  2. The product must have been sent back to us before midnight on the 28th day after the day on which we first sent it to you. If we sent the product in more than one box, time runs from the date we sent the last box. The day on which we sent the product counts as day 1.
  3. If there are unavoidable postal delays, then at our discretion we may extend the deadline for the product to be returned.
  4. The product must be returned to our address in Ulverston, which is Marl International Limited, Marl Business Park, Ulverston, Cumbria, LA12 9BN.
  5. You must not have modified, changed, dismantled or tampered with any part of the product.
  6. The product must not have been damaged, either by you or in transit on its return.
  7. The refund will be due to you no later than 14 days after we have received the returned product.

Guarantee

Marl International Limited is committed to providing quality lighting systems for domestic use. For the purposes of this guarantee policy, "product" means the domestic lighting system which you bought from us and "purchase price" means the amount you actually paid, including VAT and any delivery charges. "Defective product" means any product which is faulty or which has been damaged through no fault of your own. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Repair/replacement

In the unlikely event that the product proves to be defective product, you may return it in accordance with section A, above.

If you would rather have the defective product repaired or replaced, or if you are in breach of any of the return conditions as set out in section A (including being out of time to return the product), we will be happy to repair or replace the defective product provided you abide by the conditions set out below. It will always be our decision as to whether we replace or repair defective product.

The conditions are as follows:-

  1. We will only offer repair or replacement of defective product for the twelve month period which starts on the day on which we first sent the product to you. If we sent the product in more than one box, time runs from the date we sent the last box. The day on which we sent the product counts as day 1.
  2. You must not have modified, changed, dismantled or tampered with any part of the product. If you have installed the product, you must have followed any installation guidelines which accompanied the product.
  3. The product must not have been otherwise damaged by you.
  4. If we elect to replace the product, we will refund you for the cost of returning the defective product and will send you the replacement within 14 days of the defective product being received by us. However, unless we agree otherwise with you, we will only be liable to provide you with a replacement if you have sent us the entire product back (including any parts which are not defective), apart from the original packaging if it is not possible to re-use it.
  5. If we elect to repair the defective product, we will send one of our engineers to your premises to carry out repairs. If you have not modified, changed, dismantled, tampered with or damaged any part of the product, this visit will be free. Otherwise, we will be entitled to charge you a call out fee of £75.00 and an hourly fee of £35.00 for any time spent at your premises.
  6. Wherever possible, we will seek to accommodate your preference for return or replacement. However, the decision will ultimately be ours and we will not normally carry out repairs if it involves one of our engineers traveling outside the mainland of Great Britain.
  7. It may sometimes be the case that a product will have been installed and it would not be easy or practicable to un-install it. In that situation, the engineer will decide whether the defective product should be repaired in situ or replaced.
  8. This guarantee only covers the repair or replacement of the defective product and we will not be liable for any other costs.
